As you are well aware, 2020 brought the challenge of the CORONAVIRUS to all of our doorsteps. It’s made our work so much more challenging in many ways, yet we’ve pressed on in our ministry to the working poor and under-resourced people of our community. We believe in our neighborhood and the work we’re called to do here, so we’ve applied all of our energy toward keeping the doors open and the mission moving forward.
We need your help as we turn our focus and energy toward 2021.
This is a time of RENEWAL at Reaching Our City! Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to replace our sign & commission local artist, Ebony Iman Dallas to create a large mural that will beautify the building in such a way that all who see it will know ROC is a place of hope & healing. We’re moving forward with essential work we articulated in November. A new partnership with Camino Clinic brings mental health services and medical services to ROC. We’re making progress on the rooms for fitness and art. COVID-19 may slow us but it won’t stop us!
THIS YEAR’S EVENT is going to be different (in part due to COVID-19).
It’s a TWO-PART event (the first FULL WEEK in October -):
OPEN HOUSE (Oct. 5, 6, 7 - 5:30pm to 7pm): Purchase a ticket to COME & SEE the ROC RENEWAL yourself! Pick a night to attend. After a catered, outdoor, (socially distanced) dinner with live music - you’ll be able to tour ROC and see the RENEWAL that’s happening (masks & sanitizer provided). See the exhibits of the good folks who sponsor ROC.
ONLINE GALA (Oct. 8, 7pm on Youtube): Tune-In on Youtube for an online presentation with inspirational music, prayer, and STORIES of RENEWAL hosted by MAGGIE CARLO (formerly of Channel 5). Be encouraged and inspired by the transformation happening!
